Turning 'Waste' into Treasure: Empowering Green Development | In-Depth Analysis of CWPC 's Oil & Gas Boiler Technology
2026-04-03

Against the backdrop of the 2026 National Two Sessions outlining the development blueprint for the 15th Five-Year Plan, the green and low-carbon transition and energy security have been elevated to an unprecedented strategic priority. The Government Work Report explicitly calls for "accelerating the development of a new energy system" and emphasizes “advancing the clean and efficient use of fossil fuels." As a leader in clean energy equipment, CWPC’s oil and gas boiler product portfolio delivers efficient, clean, and diversified thermal energy solutions to global clients through comprehensive parameter coverage, exceptional fuel adaptability, and mature, reliable technical solutions—concretely supporting the national energy strategy.

A Comprehensive Product Range with Outstanding Core Advantages

CWPC’s oil and gas boiler product line covers a wide range, encompassing six major pressure levels: low-pressure, medium-pressure, sub-high-pressure, high-pressure, ultra-high-pressure, and subcritical, with capacity ranging from 20 t/h to 528 t/h. Among these, the dual-ultra (i.e., ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure) and ultra-high temperature subcritical oil and gas boilers are the company's core products, primarily serving industries with stringent requirements for thermal energy quality and reliability, such as steel smelting, chemical processing, thermal power generation, and centralized heating.

This series of boilers boasts exceptional fuel adaptability, capable of flexibly utilizing various fuels including light diesel, heavy oil, natural gas, blast furnace gas, converter gas, coke oven gas, and petroleum cracking gas. This enables efficient comprehensive resource utilization and supports customers in achieving their sustainable development goals. Leveraging both proprietary R&D and international collaboration, CWPC’s solutions have been successfully implemented in energy projects across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and other regions.

Five Core Technological Advantages Lay the Foundation for Reliability

Mature Technology with a Proven Track Record:Based on its proprietary expertise and proven operational track record, CWPC 's oil and gas boiler products have undergone comprehensive optimization across their product portfolio. Through continuous accumulation, refinement, and innovative exploration, the company has successfully adopted advanced technologies and methodologies. To date, it has secured dozens of patents and commissioned over 100 units, with its products now deployed nationwide as well as in Southeast Asia and Africa.

Well-Designed Layout with Models Selected Based on Requirements:We offer two mainstream furnace types: the "D-type furnace" and the "π-type (pi-shaped) furnace," allowing flexible selection based on specific project requirements and fuel characteristics.

The first is the "D-type boiler," which employs a dual-drum natural circulation system with a supporting structure. It offers advantages such as a compact design, simple system configuration, short installation duration, and lower cost, making it suitable for boilers operating with high-calorific-value fuels at sub-high-pressure parameters.

The second is the "π-shaped furnace," featuring a fully steel-frame suspended structure with natural circulation in both single and double steam drums. The furnace chamber, horizontal flue, and rear vertical shaft are arranged in a π-shaped configuration. This design offers advantages such as broad fuel adaptability, flexible load regulation, and excellent operational stability.

Safe and Reliable with Comprehensive Design:The interlock protection system, combined with the BMS system, monitors combustion conditions to prevent internal explosion in the furnace.

The water circulation calculation is safe and reliable, ensuring that membrane boiling does not occur under any load conditions.

Comprehensive steam temperature regulation measures are implemented to minimize temperature deviation between the left and right sides, preventing excessive wall overheating.

The boiler expansion center is appropriately set to prevent deviation, tube damage, and mutual collision of pipes under hot conditions.

The seal is reliable, preventing both the leakage of flue gases from inside the furnace and the ingress of cold air from outside, thereby avoiding heat loss.

Broad Adjustment Range and Efficient Operation:The boiler operates stably across a load range of 30% to 100%, and within the 70% to 100% load range, the superheated steam maintains its rated parameters.

Clean and Environmentally Friendly with Ultra-Low Emissions:By employing fuel grading and air grading combustion technologies, the flame center of the burner is dispersed to reduce the average flame temperature, thereby effectively decreasing NOx formation and reducing NOx emissions.

Additionally, flue gas recirculation technology can be employed to reduce oxygen concentration in the air, further lowering the combustion temperature while increasing the total flue gas volume of the boiler, thereby achieving an additional reduction in NOx emissions.

Benchmark Projects

South Korea Green Modern 8×340 t/h Ultra-High Pressure Blast Furnace Gas Boiler Project

This project uses blast furnace gas (BFG) – a steelmaking byproduct – as its primary fuel, supplemented by coke oven gas (COG), converter gas (LDG), and liquefied natural gas (LNG). This boiler features the world’s boiler with the widest range of mixed gas fuels and marks the first export of a Chinese-made product of this kind to a developed country.

Jiangsu Binxin Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. 80 MW Ultra-High Temperature Subcritical Excess Gas Power Generation Boiler Project

CWPC tailored its solution to local conditions, utilizing blast furnace gas and converter gas—byproducts from Jiangsu Binxin Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd.—as fuel to design an 80 MW ultra-high-temperature subcritical surplus gas-fired power boiler. The boiler employs natural circulation, balanced ventilation, and primary reheating technology. It operates stably with high thermal efficiency, and key performance indicators—including boiler output, steam pressure, steam temperature, and pollutant emissions—all exceed design specifications.

We must keep our energy 'rice bowl' firmly in our own hands, and clean, efficient utilization is the key to securing it. Through continuous independent R&D and international collaboration, CWPC has consistently enhanced the energy efficiency and environmental performance of its oil and gas boilers. This not only exemplifies the spirit of the "Two Sessions" on promoting the clean and efficient use of fossil fuels but also represents a proactive response to the national strategy of "accelerating the development of a new energy system." From Asia to Africa, from Latin America to around the world, CWPC is leveraging its reliable technologies and products to provide green momentum for energy projects globally, helping clients achieve a win-win balance between economic and environmental benefits, advancing collectively toward a sustainable future, and contributing wisdom and strength to building a modern energy system that is clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient.
