On February 3, basic design review & approval for the Al-Daura Power Plant project was held in Chengdu, marking the project's entry into the full implementation phase. As a key project for Iraq's power upgrade, the project is undertaken by CWPC under an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) model, covering the entire process from design and procurement to construction and commissioning, demonstrating the CWPC's comprehensive capabilities in overseas power engineering.

During the review meeting, the CWPC and the Iraqi representatives held in-depth discussions on technical solutions, safety standards, and project schedule management, further refining the design plan and laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project.
Omar Majid, General Manager of Iraq's Al-Daura Power Plant, highly praised CWPC's professional expertise and project organizational efficiency, expressing his expectation that the project will significantly enhance power supply reliability in the Baghdad region and contribute to local economic and social development upon completion.
